The ECA or European Club Association is the independent body directly representing football clubs at European level. After my colleague designed the new public facing ECA site, it was my job to design the seperate private site, visible only to logged in members. Although the site shared similarities with the public facing one, I took a much more personal and customisable approach to the private site.

The homepage was made up of a number of draggable modules which members could position where they wanted, this meant the user could pick and choose what information was served to them when they visited. This also addressed the problem which was expressed by the client, of their members not engaging with all the content available to them. An address book featuring all the ECA members contact details, a calendar showing your monthly appointments and a latest news scroller are just some of the modules available. Not only did this execution provide information quickly to the user without having to delve deep into inner pages, it also brought valuable information to the forefront of a busy users visit which may otherwise have been missed.
